DiskCalm works on your Mac. It does not upload files, filenames, screenshot text or usage information. It includes no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not require an account.

Folder comparison uses two separately authorized folders and holds their access only for the comparison session. Network status is read locally without probing a website. Screenshot thumbnails are held in a bounded in-memory cache.

The app reads folders you authorize to display storage information and optionally compare duplicate files or recognize text in screenshots. It moves only files you explicitly review and confirm to macOS Trash.

DiskCalm stores a folder-access bookmark, appearance preference, recent scan summaries, and cleanup history locally in its app settings. Cleanup history can include original and Trash paths, size and time. Screenshot recognition results remain in memory for the current session. You can clear local history and forget folder access in Settings.

The app does not permanently erase Trash. macOS provides recovery through Finder while an item remains in Trash.

If you contact support by email, the information you choose to send is handled through the email provider to answer your request. Do not attach private files unless they are needed to explain your issue. For questions about this policy, contact kartikchauhan100@gmail.com.
